This piece is part of one of my favorite personal collections to date, the Appalachian Mountain series. The series has seen many iterations over the years — they’ve included crescent moons, planets, shooting stars and sunsets. I’ve added in barns, gold stars, clouds and even the occasional UFO. The scenes may change, but always include the signature rolling mountains of Appalachia in the view.
This rural landscape was handcrafted from start to finish, featuring copper mountains under a copper planet with sterling stars. The sky and backplate are sterling silver.
